Driving licence licence

In the early stages of driving school, you must obtain a driving licence licence. The permit is valid for three years at a time.

A driver's license?

You need a driving licence permit before you can register for a driver's examination.

A driving licence licence may be issued no earlier than one year before the applicant meets the age requirement corresponding to the category of driving licence. However, a category B driving licence may be issued no earlier than two years before the age requirement is met.

A driving licence licence must also be applied for separately when the driving licence is increased and renewed.

Please note that when raising category A, an electronic licence licence application is not possible, but the permit must be applied for at ajovarma's office.

You're going to need to go with you:

– Your current driving licence (if you do not already have a driving licence, take a passport/photo ID card with you to prove your identity)

– 2 passport photos. However, you do not need new passport photos if you already have a valid passport/driving licence. However, when applying for a permit, there is also a good opportunity to update the image.

Please note the terms of the application for an electronic permit:

To apply for a driving licence authorisation online, you must have a face image in electronic form and an up-to-date autograph in the official register, as well as be able to authenticate to the service with online banking credentials or a mobile certificate.

You'll see a usable picture and autograph after you sign in to the service.

A facial image and autograph are available in the service if you have a valid passport or ID card.
